The Ake Gallery is located in the historic Crescent Commons building at 165 Main Street in Cortland New York. The Ake Gallery’s mission is to take the stuffiness out of the art gallery experience and offer affordable, fun fine art and to encourage and promote the many talented artists living in the area.
Over a 14 year span, Paul sold hundreds of paintings and sculptures, many to celebrities like Bill Maher and Bobcat Goldthwait. Sarah Silverman featured one of Paul’s flags on her HBO special, “We Are Miracles.”

Paul also created art for a number of Hollywood businesses and studios including a 68 painting commission for the new Cartoon Network headquarters.

Meanwhile, performances by some of the best comedians in the world made the Fake Gallery an underground LA hot spot.
Patton Oswalt and Maria Bamford held comedy residencies there and Robin Williams once proclaimed that the art on the walls was “like the foreplay before sex.” The LA Weekly wrote that the Fake Gallery was the best place to see comedy in Los Angeles. The Ake Gallery looks forward to hosting live performances in the near future.
Paul Kozlowski started doing stand up comedy in 1980. Along with performing on many Stand up shows, Paul was a regular on MTV's "Idiot Savants" and Fox's "Ultimate Fan League". He was nominated for an Emmy Award while writing for The Chris Rock Show. Paul has also written for "The John Stewart Show", "House of Buggin" with John Leguizamo, "Exit 57", "The Wayne Brady show", "Mr. Show", and "Ellen". He was also featured in the movies "Punchline" and "Shakes The Clown". Paul currently stars as Larry Woodchuckski in the YouTube series, "Larry's Wild Life."
